Thomas Liggett is the representative of the Bernoulli Society in the Editorial Board. 2.- NEWS FROM STANDING COMMITTEES * New members of the Latin American Regional Committee of the Bernoulli Society (LARC-SLAPEM) have been elected, we welcome Carenne Ludena (Venezuela), Alicia Carriquiry (USA), Luis Renato Fontes (Brazil) and Rolando Rebolledo (Chile). The newly elected chair of the Committee is Claudio Landim (Brazil) who replaces Jose R. Blackwell, ex-president of the BS, passed away in Berkeley, California, on Thursday, July 8, 2010, at the age of 91.
