New England Statistics Symposium

The 31st New England Statistics Symposium (NESS'2017) will be hosted by the University of Connecticut on April 21-22. There are several Short Courses planned for the afternoon before the conference. Highlights of the conference will include invited plenary talks, contributed paper sessions, and a poster session. The contributed paper sessions will include one on "New Vistas in Statistics with Applications" organized under the auspices of C(PS)2. Please plan to attend!

The New England Statistics Symposium is an annual two-day conference that moves throughout the New England region. The mission of the conference is to bring together statisticians from all over New England to a central location to share research, discuss emerging issues in the field and network with colleagues.

Engineering Mechanics Institute

C(PS)2 supports and contributes through its current activities to the efforts of the Engineering Mechanics Institute, which provides an important platform for interdisciplinary communication of statistical and probabilistic methods and their applications in the realm of engineering sciences.

Maths of Planet Earth, 2013

C(PS)2 through its current activities contributes to the efforts of the Bernoulli Society partnership in the Mathematics of Planet Earth, 2013 (MPE-2013) initiative, which provides a suitable and most attractive framework for activities fitting the scope and mission of C(PS)2.

The formal launch of MPE-2013 in Canada and worldwide was announced on December 7th, 2012 by this International Press Release

International Year of Statistics, 2013

C(PS)2through its current activities contributes to the efforts of the Bernoulli Societypartnershipin the International Year of Statistics, 2013 (IYS-2013) initiative, participating in a worldwide celebration of the contributions of statistical science to the advancement of our global society.

The formal launch of IYS-2013 was announced on December 6th, 2012 by a video release accessible via the SAS YouTube channel entitled Improving Human Welfare in 2013 International Year of Statistics.
